Need Advice for Self-Publishing

What am I missing?

I’m considering self-publishing a collection of essays.

What do I need to know?

I’m putting together a list of things to search online. I also decided to reach out here to find something I might need to think about.

Here’s the list so far.

1. How to get started?
2. Which service should I use?
3. What type of copyright or whatever do I need before I go down this path?
4. How do you design a cover?
5. What else?

Ok. this is just a start.

I’m thinking I could self-publish a short collection of essays soon and am in the overthinking phase of the project. I need to settle my mind and put the articles together in an order that makes sense. After publishing online for four years, I have enough to choose from to get a book together.

Oh, shoot, another question or two.

1. What am I hoping to achieve?
2. Are you trying to make money? (it probably won’t)

I will stop this overthinking session now and reach out to the world to see what pointers y’all may have.
